I have been unknowingly paying taxes on a peice of property (vacant land) for 3 years. The escrow account that I set up after buying my home had the wrong parcel number. My question is this: If I have been paying taxes on land over a period time that is not mine, does the land become mine? Or do I need to go to the owners and try to get my money back from them?
