MY WIFE WORKS IN NEW YORK CITY AT A HOTEL AND I WANTED TO KNOW IF SHE COULD RIGHT OFF THE RAILROAD EXPENSE. I SAW A ARTICLE IN THE LOCAL PAPERS LAST YEAR THE SAID THEY WERE TRYING TO PASS A LAW THAT WOULD ALLOW A MAX. OF $2000.00 RIGHT OFF IF YOU USED THE RAILROAD MORE THEN 200 DAYS A YEAR FOR WORK

There used to be a city tax deduction, however that went away. It was replaced with a commute tax for people who commute. At this writing, there is no deduction for taking the train in NYC.
